All Paragon Apartments residents are required to provide proof of renter’s insurance. That’s why we make protecting your home as easy as possible.

Assurant

Assurant is our preferred partner.

The Assurant Pay with Rent policy comes with benefits that a lot of other companies call "extra". With Assurant, you'll have coverage in case you cause damages to your home or a neighbor's property for any accidents caused by fire, water, smoke, or explosion. As a current or future resident, you are automatically approved for coverage, which starts the same day as your lease.

Third-Party Insurance

Find the Coverage That Works for You

You are welcome to purchase renters insurance from any third party provider to ensure your coverage meets your personal needs. If you choose not to obtain your own renters insurance, you will be automatically enrolled in Assurant’s liability only policy for your convenience.

Renter's Insurance Q & A

Yes. You are required to carry an active personal liability policy with a minimum of $100,000 in liability coverage, depending on your community. Please note, liability insurance does not cover your personal belongings. We strongly encourage purchasing a policy that includes coverage for personal contents.

Once all parties have signed your lease (for move-in or renewal), you will receive an email from donotreply.pol@assurant.com containing a unique link. This link allows you to opt into the Assurant Cover360 "Pay with Rent" policy. If you did not receive the email, contact your leasing office to have it resent.

You will need to either update the interested party information on your existing policy or cancel it and opt into the Cover360 program if you prefer to pay with rent.

Absolutely. While we recommend Assurant Cover360, you may purchase renter’s insurance from any provider of your choice.

Yes. You will receive an email from donotreply.pol@assurant.com with a unique link where you can upload your insurance policy.

It is your responsibility to maintain active coverage throughout the lease. If you switch to a third-party provider, send the updated policy to paragon@assurant.com and ensure all required details are included.

You will receive a notice if your policy does not meet requirements or if no policy is submitted. The notice will outline how many days remain to submit adequate proof. If no valid policy is provided within that timeframe, a liability-only policy will be placed on your behalf at a monthly cost of $50.
