Planning to bring your 4-legged friends to the Berkley Art Bash, Saturday, June 9th? Not a bad idea considering the bash is both family and fido friendly.
Not only can you paint your pooch on a custom slate to adorn your garden but you can also find healthy treats to spoil them. Take the dog for a walk, a portrait and a snack all conveniently located in Berkley.
The “paw-prietors” of Doggy Deli, located in Clinton Township are headed to a Berkley Art Bash curb near you. These made-in Michigan products are approved by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and made free of artificial flavoring, coloring and preservatives. Depending on Fido’s preference you can buy chewy, crunchy, wheat-free or frozen treats, birthday cakes, and bake-at-home ingredients.
Doggy Deli treats are handmade and slow baked for Fido’s easy digestion and with over 20 years of restaurant experience, the deli prides itself on the guarantee that their business and treats are of the same quality and sanitation that you would expect at your own deli.
After Diane and Bruce Ingram, Doggy Deli owners, discovered the ingredients in the treats they were feeding their dogs they decided to make their own. Diane Ingram created all the recipes for her 3 rescue dogs, Sesame, a German Shepard mix, Carlie, a Chihuahua/Terrier mix, and Murphy, a Schnoodle.
“I worked in IT for years but have always made treats for our own dogs,” said Diane Ingram, co-owner and head chef of Doggy Deli. I always gave treats to friends and family and one day a friend told me I should sell them, so we did and a business blossomed,” added Ingram.
Doggy Deli will have a booth at the Berkley Art Bash and plans to supply your dogs with as many treats as they wish. Dogs can sample treats from the chewy and crunchy lines and owners can discuss health and nutrition with owner, Bruce Ingram. Some treats are specifically for dogs with allergies made with vegan, flourless granola and diabetic dogs can delight in healthy treat too.
Be sure to stroll down 12 mile and make a pit-stop at Doggy Deli to test Peanut Butter Biscotti, Banana Oatmeal crisps and garlic cheddar bites – soon your dog will be eating better than you.
