Viewing Art Becomes a Walk in the Park (or City)
The Detroit Institute of Arts has selected the City of Southfield as one of the communities to hosts their spring Inside/Out outdoor art exhibitions. Reproductions of masterpieces from the DIA’s collection, will be placed at different locations around the city, so that residents can be pleasantly surprised as they walk throughout the city when they come upon the master creations. Seven reproductions in all will be on display until late June.
The exhibit includes reproductions of such masterpieces as:
- Portrait of Sophia, Princess Palatine
- The Piazzo San Marco
- Savoy Ballroom
- The Nut Gatherers
16 communities, in total, are hosting the spring Inside/Out exhibits. At the end of June, the exhibits will be rotated to other communities as their summer exhibits.
