$7 lobster tail. Do I have your attention?
Even if you don’t like lobster, if you have the chance to try out Bistro 555 in Greetown Casino’s hotel, I would recommend it. (And you can always opt to add shrimp or crab legs to your meal if you’d rather.) I visited there last weekend with some friends, and we all had a great experience.
We started out with drinks, and found the wine list was reasonably priced. I had some kind of corn chowder that was delicious. And our steamed mussels appetizer was also excellent. (I didn’t try any of the pizza my friends ordered, but they said it was good.)
I went all-out for dinner, ordering the New York strip and the aforementioned lobster tail for dinner. ($7 is the price when you add to an entree.) Both were nearly perfect. My husband got the ribs and fries, which he said was also good, but he kept trying to steal bites of my steak. My side dishes were also excellent, especially the mashed potatoes.
We were too stuffed to try dessert. I do want to come back and give the breakfast buffet a try, though — I do love a good breakfast buffet!
I should also say that the decor of the restaurant was nice, too. And, believe it or not, I think the bathrooms were the best part. The clear glass doors looked like they were glowing from the inside, and the sinks were clear glass and metal. Very sophisticated, and very nice, clean look.
Overall, a solid A. Go check this place out if you’re looking for a reasonably-priced, delicious restaurant somewhere between fancy and casual. And don’t forget the lobster tail!
