At least 5 Hugs a Day
Hugging is commonly used as a greeting ritual.
But there’s more to a hug than that.
Hugs, real hugs of 6 seconds or more, have shown to give you benefits of more than just saying hello. Hugs boost happiness levels, boost production of oxytocin, and reduce anxiety. It’s said that we need 5 hugs a day for good emotional health.
I’m sure you know the people in your life who “give good hugs”, like grandma or your favorite aunt. There’s power and well-being in a heartfelt hug. That great hug that you give today may just make someone’s day, letting them know that you care.
On this Valentine’s Day, and thereafter, give the power of a hug, at least 5 of them.
