Out in Clinton Township on Sunday? Come out for some winter fun at Lakeside Village for the Just Cause Wish-A-Mile bicycle tour team’s Hot & Frosty Fun Fest for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This frosty fun-draising event will feature a variety of different activities to beat the winter blues including an adventure fun run, chili cook-off and snow building contest.
Snow building contest? Looks as if we may have some snow this weekend.
The chili cook-off contest will feature celebrity guest judges including Chef Chris Franz from the Rattlesnake Club, WDIV reporter Lila Lazarus, and Janelle Gunn from Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Michigan Chapter. Guests will also enjoy complimentary refreshments and hot dogs provided by Lakeside Village Apartments and Comcast Cable.
The Just Cause team will be one of several teams participating in the the Wish-A-MileBicycle Tours take place July 26-29 when teams of cyclists will take on 300- and 50-mile bicycle tours planned through the State of Michigan that begin and end at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn and go as far as Traverse City to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This event is open to the public from 2-5 p.m. Lakeside Village Apartments are located at 15770 Lakeside Drive in Clinton Township east of Hayes just before M-59.
Proceeds from the event will go toward Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant wishes. For more information or for registration forms, visit www.wishmich.org.
