Science and Engineering are truly captivating subjects.
At least they are to me. Did you know that machines can juggle? How is that possible? Juggling can be broken down into a math equation. Almost everything around you in your daily life requires math.
An event that puts math to the test is Robofest. Lawrence Tech University regularly hosts Robofest, a truly amazing “annual autonomous robotics competition designed to promote and support STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Math) and Computer Science for students in grades 5 – 12 and college students. Robofest challenges teams of students to design, build, and program robots.”
Some of you might have seen the competitions on television; robots, big and small, designed by young minds, scurrying around in rink or on a gym floor doing all kinds of amazing things.
You should stop in on this event, better yet, bring your kids to this event. The next great scientist or engineer may just be one of yours.
