The germs on your phone!

I was recently out to dinner with a group of friends when one pulled out their phone to show off recent wedding pictures.

The pictures were keepsakes, but one thing that I noticed as the phone was being passed around and viewers were swiping the screen, was the physical condition of the phone. There seemed to be a visible film of dirt and fingerprints over the phone as the rooms interior lights shone on it.

This reminded me of something I’d read and seen on television…
That your phone can house more bacteria than the handle of a men’s public toilet.

Eugh!

Now, with so many touch-screen surfaces, the risk has gone higher.
You can easily pick up whatever germs are on that touch screen.

Research has found that your cell phone is a breeding ground for thousands of germs. Between the heat the phones generate and the germs on your hands and face, your phone can spread that bateria, even staph bateria which is normally found on 50 percent of all phones tested.

Motorola has made an effort to combat the issue. Some of their phones have an anti-microbial coating. But you can help keep yourself safe from this breeding ground of germs by regularly using anti-baterial wipes to clean your phone.
