Anyone who’s been to Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers in Downtown Mount Clemens knows they’ve mastered the art of a tasty slider … fresh ground chuck pressed just before it hits the griddle. But for some, those tiny bites of delight just aren’t enough.
What started as a special last spring is now a staple on the menu. The Big Clem is tower a two patties comprised of total of a half-pound of ground chuck topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, 1,000 Island dressing and a huge onion ring cushioned with love in a grilled bun.
“Some of my customers wanted something bigger than a slider, and it stuck – it hasn’t gone away,” says Todd Seeburger, owner of Seeburger’s Cheeseburgers.
But let’s say that sliders are more your style. In addition to the ground chuck patties that are made while you watch, Seeburger’s also makes ground turkey, beef tenderloin and Cajun Ahi sliders, too. Fries are hand-cut and onion rings are batter-dipped before they hit the fryer. Hot dogs, Coneys, paninis, soups, and ice cream round out the menu. And there’s no better way to wash down a burger, dog or sandwich than with a Sprecher Root Beer straight from the tap.
