Lately have you felt like you have been sitting in your car more than usual? Well, if you live in Macomb county or maybe even Oakland county you know about the horrific construction. The normal rush hour traffic is already boring and irritating, let alone sitting in traffic for half an hour to an hour waiting to get a mile up the road.  I know lately everywhere I turn I’m getting stuck in traffic , or there’s always some type of delay. For example, not to long ago, I was on my way home coming from 696 for some lame reason they had two lanes blocked off. It was torture  sitting there waiting to get to schoehnner, so finally I gave up and got off at mound. I thought it would be a lot quicker to take mound to sixteen mile , because the speed limit is fifty, and on sixteen its fifty five. I thought I’d get to my destination in no time, that plan back fired. When I got around Garfield the construction traffic arrived. it was horrific. the bad thing is I was riding in a car with my son, boyfriend, and no AC. The lanes closed down to two lanes. By this time I was ready to go home. And after I handled my business that’s just what I did.

Being that said, every day is a question mark on whether it I’m going to sit in traffic for about an hour or get hit  by an old lady or something. I have only been here for about a year know and I noticed that this area is ideal for older crowds and younger crowds (well every one).  But there are many senior living homes, and older people do take up a huge population out in this area. Even on the roads they do take up a huge population. Now I do not have a problem with older people, I have many older people I do love and care for in my family. But, when your on the road and there is a person that’s doing twenty in a fifty zone, or a person who cuts you off in the turning lane and then almost hits you turning in the turning lane again makes you wonder…..who is this person? And for some reason in many cases when I’m behind that slow person or that person who cuts me off or that person who almost hit me are majority older people. Which is sort off creepy. I don’t wanna be the one that avoids older people on the road. lol

Hall road, this summer was always up and down. And, being that I had to take Hall road to get to work everyday was either a strain or a breeze. Usually this summer it was a strain. Every Sunday there was construction and it drove me crazy. So somehow I learned to take the back roads. Taking nineteen mile to lakeside blvd, and lakeside all the way to work definitely Helped me through the hectic times of Hall rd.

Some of the construction I was actually happy to see (Weird right). Romeo Plank was pretty scary to drive through before. My car is pretty small and old. So when I take a wrong turn on Romeo Plank there is a big chance that my car might die, Especially since there is no turning back when your on the street. So I was excited to see that they are taking care of that road. I guess some of the good in waiting in the construction could be spending more time with the family and time to think. Its unexpected, but its still a plus.
