If you spend your days daydreaming about the perfect wedding, and your nights worrying about the price tag that comes along with it, you might want to shuffle off to the Livonia Business Expo this Thursday.
The annual event, presented by Davenport University and Embassy Suites Hotel, is meant to highlight local businesses. More than 85 are expected to exhibit their wares this year and the expo includes a kick-off business luncheon from 12-1:30 p.m. as well as a Taste of the Town event from 5-8 p.m.
What does this have to do with your dream wedding?
As an extra incentive this year, Embassy Suites employees will be on hand to register interested guests for a full wedding package redeemable at the Livonia hotel in September. The prize includes everything you need for a reception of up to 150 people, an impressive cake, photography, flowers, music, transportation, even a honeymoon at Crystal Mountain Resort and the Island House Hotel on Mackinac Island. The bride will be treated to hair, makeup and jewelry. A rehearsal dinner for 25 is included at Andiamo Restaurant.
According to the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers, the contest is open to engaged couples and those interested in renewing their vows.
The Livonia Business Expo runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Burton Manor. Admission is free with the exception of the luncheon, $15, and a $10 admission begins at 5 p.m. for Taste of the Town. For more information, click here.
